Who we are
Hiflylabs was established in 2012. It is a 100 people strong Hungarian company, which bought evoline Professional Services Ltd. in 2015 after years of tight strategic partnership. Our lead experts have been working together for over 15 years now and shipped many solutions in various industries.
We carry out BI projects in many areas, ranging from data mining and data warehousing, through the creation of executive dashboards, to the solution of Big Data problems. A few years ago we started to build up application development knowledge, whichhas become a reliable element of our skill set. Because we continuously search for new challenges, in 2013 we decided to appear in the startup sector with some innovations. This gave a further boost to the reinforcement of our mobile development team, which became anew successful unit of Hiflylabs.
Our most important values are: focus on the customer, the strive for excellence, flexibility, and agility. We all love our professions so much that in our free time we're also happy to deal with it. Therefore, we decided to summarize our experiences in three books already.

Finevare is an industry software solution that support the compliance of banks with IFRS and supports the lending process.
The newly introduced Finevare system at CIB Bank receives data from the bank's SAS9-based data warehouse. The related data warehouse developments were carried out by our team: from modeling through the expansion of the core layer, to sending extracts. In addition, it was our task to prepare the documentation and support the testing of the solution.

National Tax Authority
Itemized VAT returns connect customers to sellers. Portrayal of these relationships can support the tax analyst's work significantly.
We loaded the contact data coming from the itemized VAT returns into a data mart, all within the data warehouse framework of the Tax Authority. Then, we integrated the stored data with the network visualization system developed by us earlier. This made it possible for the tax authority to display and analyze the money transfers between companies as well as the relationships between the various business owners.

Magyar Telekom produces the most data in our country, so it's no wonder that they deal with Big Data solutions seriously.
First, all use cases must be mapped where traditional data management techniques are no longer sufficient and would need Big Data. We acted as consultants to the experts of Magyar Telekom, identifying al the Big Data problems within the BInGo project. We have developed a methodology that allows the collection of Big Data use cases, their synthesis and evaluation. It is a hard work; it requires a variety of skills. It is a complex process, and a lot depends on efficiency and organization. The methodology takes both business, economic and technical feasibility considerations as well as risks into account.

E-Money Clearing Systems Zrt.
Buxa allows users to send money to each other using their smartphones. They can purchase books online as well as in offline stores.
Buxa is a PhoneGap (iOS/Android) app, and has a native Windows Phone client. The backend is an e-money based audited financial accounting system. We carried out the development of the mobile applications and the backend server infrastructure meeting all the required financial standards in a separate start-up company under the Buxa brand (www.buxa.eu) from 2013 onwards.

The Hungarian subsidiary of DB Schenker started on the road to data driven decision making by creating a data warehouse on its central controlling system to get a more detailed picture about its clients. Naturally Hiflylabs helped them to achieve this.
The experts of Hiflylabs gathered and organized the data from the transactional systems of DB Schenker and integrated client data serving the existing and the new reports. After this – using the proper data-cleaning steps – they loaded the data to an integrated structured data warehouse. Beside the implementation of prepared loader and calculation logic, they introduced new algorithms which enables the evaluation of the clients in a more sophisticated way by the automatically updating reports based on the data warehouse.

The Connection Map is an interactive graphical analytics tool to explore chains of company connections and to visualize them on one screen.
The framework of the Opten Connection Map is based on the Netflyer solution of Hiflylabs. With the help of Netflyer, previously hidden contacts can be explored, and this can help the work of fraud detection, risk analysis, sales and help other departments as well. The application can show complex connections up to 8-10 depth in one screen.

Hungarian Vodafone Foundation
The Vodafone AppTár is a mobile app for students and teachers to easily shift through learning aid and skill development applications.
To help teachers chose the most effective app for development the AppRepo categorizes the different applications by year, subject and skill.
The AppRepo tags the already installed, updatable and executable apps. Beside the descriptions of the applications from the Google Play Store, the teachers can add additional information and recommendations to every app. Through the admin interface the filtering conditions, the categories and the list of apps can be modified.

With our predictive data mining models a leading energy provider company managed to make its meter inspection activity much more effective.
The non-technical network losses (e.g.: energy stealing, standing meter) cause financial loss measured by billions of HUF for the energy provider company. To catch these losses the inspector unit chose the meters to check based on several different criteria and rules, but altogether this level of control was not effective enough.
After proving our data mining methodologies, Hiflylabs built several analytical models for the SME and residential segment. We also launched several thematic pilot projects to quickly exclude non-working theories and to discover and work out the ones that proved to be successful.
Working together on multiple projects Hiflylabs’ data mining models have helped to decrease the network losses and to increase the income stem from the penalties.
